Here is a liitle behind the scenes of our camera prep for a short film tilted “Someday Hero” written and Directed By, Darcy Fray. We are using both a Canon5D Mark II and Canon 7D. We are also using Zeiss ZE Primes a Canon 70-200mm and a Tokina 16-50mm. Following focus with an Arri MMF-1 Mini Follow Focus. We are using a mix of Red Rock Micro and Zacuto accessories on the set. I hope they play nice. Marshall monitors for monitoring and a bevy of other gear supplied from Birns and Sawyer, Hollywood. Thanks for all the support. Why do you use Zeiss lenses? Is there really so much difference compared to Canon-L lenses? Okay, if you compare photographs from the 5D Mk II at 100% there is definitely a difference but also at 1080p video?

I feel the T2i is the best canon for filming on the market right now, but it seems like now a days, Editing is the most important thing too good looking film making
I also have the Contax Carl Zeiss primes and I also made my own semi permanent lens gears similar to the ones in the video.. heres my tutorial..

I take hand outs so if you guys don’t need that Tokina keep me in mind.

rental or purchase? Rental is about $50 per day purchase is around 1K each. hope this helps.
